FORMOLON PR-440 Medium Molecular Weight PVC Paste Resin with Low-to-Medium Plastisol Viscosity and Excellent Air Release

FORMOLON PR-440 is a medium molecular weight micro-suspension PVC paste resin with low-to-medium plastisol Brookfield viscosity. It features outstanding transparency, excellent thermal stability, superior water resistance, and long-term weather resistance. The resin possesses wide compatibility with various plasticizers, organic solvents, and inorganic fillers. Plastisol prepared from PR-440 delivers excellent air release performance, low yellowing tendency under high temperature, and outstanding outdoor weather resistance, especially designed for solvent-based color coating systems, non-foaming & micro-foam artificial leather, dipping products, and metal anti-corrosion coatings.

Test Formula: 100phr PR-440 resin + 60phr DINP; mixed with Hobart N-50 mixer, 5min at 1st speed + 15min at 2nd speed, aged 2 hours at 25℃ before testing

• Medium K value 74 and polymerization degree 1450±100, balanced mechanical strength and plastisol fluidity, low-to-medium viscosity for easy coating & dipping construction
• Excellent air release property of plastisol, effectively eliminate bubbles, pinholes and surface defects on finished film
• Superior thermal stability, finished products maintain clean initial color after high-temperature gelation, less yellowing for light-colored and transparent products

Storage Requirements: Store in dry, cool and well-ventilated warehouse, keep away from direct sunlight and heat sources. Seal packaging tightly after opening to prevent moisture absorption leading to plastisol viscosity fluctuation. Implement first-in first-out inventory management.

Operation Safety: Wear dust mask, rubber protective gloves and chemical safety goggles during feeding and mixing to avoid long-term inhalation of PVC dust. Flush eyes continuously with plenty of clean water if powder contacts eyes; wash contaminated skin thoroughly with soap and clean water.

All typical values and test data in this document are for reference only, not legally binding acceptance standards. Actual processing performance is affected by plasticizer type, filler dosage, mixing process and storage environment. Users must conduct small-batch plastisol trial test to verify product adaptability before mass production.
